General Star Adds Lawyers Program to 6 Western States

General Star Management Co. announced the expansion of its admitted Lawyers Professional Liability program into Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.

ProAccess LLC of Chicago, Illinois, which has served as the program manager for the General Star Lawyers program in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri will also handle the six new western states.

General Star launched its Lawyers Professional Liability program in August 2007 in Michigan. General Star now writes this coverage in 24 states through dedicated program managers. In addition to the states in which ProAccess operates, Lockton Affinity of West Des Moines, Iowa, serves as General Stars program manager in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. PCM Services, LLC of New York, NY is General Stars program manager in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Additional expansion of the program is planned.

General Star Lawyers Professional Liability coverage is written on an admitted basis through General Star National Insurance Company, which is rated A++ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company and carries an AAA Insurance Financial Strength Rating from Standard & Poors Corporation.
